Facility Compliance Services (FCS) is comprised of a team of seasoned professional consultants, each with 30-40 years of experience. We provide codes, standards, and engineering consulting services to healthcare facilities to help them achieve or maintain compliance with government and other regulatory and accreditation requirements. The mission of Facility Compliance Services is to help VA and US military health care facilities provide effective quality care in a safe environment.
With 30 years regulatory compliance and 14 years construction management experience, Dean Samet is the principal and CEO of Facility Compliance Services, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Dean served as an Associate Director, Senior Engineer, and Certified Joint Commission Surveyor for over 17 years at The Joint Commission where he helped in the development of the EC, LS, and EM standards, Statement of Conditions™ (SOC) and surveyor training. He was also TJC’s chief liaison to the NFPA®, ASHE, AIA, VA, DOD, IHS, and CMS on Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management issues.
